Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be
1. 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2006) for MTS
2. 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006) for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue and a few posts of MTS in various departments
Relaxation of Upper age limit:

| 09 | Central Government Civilian Employees: Who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications. | Up to 40 years of age. |
| 10 | Central Government Civilian Employees: Who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications. (SC/ ST) | Up to 45 years of age. |

Educational Qualification : उम्मीदवारों को कट-ऑफ तिथि यानी 01-08-2024 तक या उससे पहले किसी मान्यता प्राप्त बोर्ड से मैट्रिकुलेशन परीक्षा या समकक्ष उत्तीर्ण होना चाहिए।
Note : जिन उम्मीदवारों ने आवेदन प्राप्त करने की अंतिम तिथि तक शैक्षिक योग्यता हासिल नहीं की है/नहीं करेंगे, वे पात्र नहीं होंगे और उन्हें आवेदन करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।
